The Jackets To Wear This Spring

The spring is upon us and so is the time to put the wool coats back in the closet for a few months. Meanwhile we can bring the lighter ones out again, or perhaps buy a new one or two? Below I’ve listed some of the biggest trends this season. We see street style and sporty vibes in a perfect balance with flowers and the classic spring pastels. What more can you wish for? I hope you like this post and don’t forget to stay original, gorgeous!

Simple Eye Makeup Look With Colour Twist

As I’ve written in one of my previous posts (here) I tend to go safe when I choose what colours to wear on my eyes. I’m convinced that I’m not the only shy little bird who actually would want to be more daring when it comes to this matter but simply does not have the courage to. I believe the answer lies in baby steps. You don’t have to start with a bright yellow smoky eye with extra sequins and peacock feathers (that would be kind of awesome though), no, adding a navy blue eyeliner to your regular look will work just fine. You will get to the peacock stage eventually (maybe not, but again, it would be kind of awesome). To start you off I’m bringing you this look. Super simple with a slight colour twist.

Products used:

  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette (Naked & Buck in the crease, Sin on the lid and Virgin as highlight)
  • Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Blue
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
  • Sephora Retractable Brow Pencil in Nutmeg Brown

Shopping Spree February pt. 1

After a meltdown in front of my closet (there were both tears and screams) I realised I was in need of some new clothes. So, I dragged my mother with me to Gothenburg for a shopping spree and  let’s just say it got a bit expensive… But it was totally worth it!

With that said I thought I would show you what I got. I haven’t taken pictures of any of the clothes yet, therefore I will only show the accessories in this post. Ready? Let’s get into it!

Bag, Mango, 299 SEK (I’m in love with this colour combination, so gorgeous!)

Earrings, Mango, 99 SEK

Sunglasses, GinaTricot, 79:90 SEK

Rings, H&M, 79:90 SEK

Shoes, H&M, 399 SEK (THESE ARE MY LIFE. Silver is really trendy right now)

Note: One Swedish krona (SEK) is about 0,11 dollars/0,10 euro/0,09 pounds.

Nutella Cookies

“Super easy, crispy cookies with a lovely taste of Nutella”. That’s how Hembakat (a Swedish baking magazine) describes their Nutella cookies, and I don’t have any objections. Made in twenty minutes with only five ingredients these cookies sure are a treat. So today, I’m sharing the recipe with you guys!

Gives 24 cookies (but I probably made them too big so I only got 15)

Ingredients

1 egg, 1 dl white sugar, 2 dl Nutella, 2 dl wheat flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda

Method

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Mix egg and sugar. Add Nutella and stir until the mixture is smooth. Add flour and baking soda to the mixture and work to a dough. Roll into  approximately 24 (or 15, you know, less is more) balls. Flatten them lightly and place them on a baking tray with a baking sheet on it. Bake the cookies in the middle of the oven for 10-12 minutes. Leave to cold on an oven rack.

Done!

Hope you enjoy and don’t forget to stay orginal gorgeous! xoxo
